Performed comprehensive system inspection and diagnostics to evaluate combustion cycle and ventilation components. Inspected gas connections, burner assembly, and heat exchanger for proper operation and signs of incomplete combustion that could cause odor during purge cycle. Verified all plumbing connections including copper water supply lines and PVC venting system for proper installation and integrity. Examined air intake and exhaust venting configuration to ensure adequate combustion air supply and proper draft. Tested unit through multiple startup cycles to observe purge sequence and identify source of gas smell. Confirmed all safety devices and flame sensors functioning correctly.
Installed a complete whole-home water treatment system consisting of a Pacific Water Sentry 2 salt-free water conditioner paired with a complementary filtration unit. Mounted two black cylindrical treatment tanks side-by-side against utility room wall with digital control heads featuring LCD displays and manual valve controls. Configured white PVC manifold piping system across the top of both units with multiple connection points, vertical drops, and elbow fittings to integrate with existing plumbing infrastructure. Connected electrical components including power adapters and control wiring to wall outlets for system operation. Integrated the installation with existing copper supply lines, gray PEX tubing, and HVAC components in the mechanical room. Performed comprehensive inspection of all internal components including gas valve assembly, ignition system, control boards, and electrical connections. Verified proper temperature rise across heat exchanger, tested all safety controls, and confirmed burner operation. Inspected venting system and PVC condensate drainage. Unit operating within manufacturer specifications with no issues identified.
