2023 Heat For The Holidays Recipient: The Barlow Family

The Barlow family faced financial difficulties in 2023. Dan, who is a local high school guidance counselor, and Shelby, who teaches piano to help make ends meet, are raising four children on a tight budget.

At the start of the holiday season, their home’s furnace stopped working, and the family was unsure where the money to fix the unit would come from. When the community learned about the Barlow’s hardship, they nominated the family for Fox13’s “Heat for the Holidays” contest.

Mike, from SameDay Heating & Air, Plumbing, and Electrical, and Morgan Saxton, from Fox13, surprised the Barlows with a new furnace to help keep their family warm during the winter.

The gesture left the Barlows speechless, but now they can enjoy the holidays and Bountiful winter weather warm and cozy in their home.
