Summer Electrical Safety Tips
With the little ones back from school, you have a lot on your plate this summer. They will definitely be spending a lot of time outside when the weather is nice. Here are some great tips that will keep your kids safe all summer long.
On A Power Trip
It’s no secret that kids love to climb. Children should never play near, touch or climb utility poles. When power lines are active, they are very hazardous to your health. If a power line is down, maintain a far distance and report it.
Fish Out Of Water
When your kids get out of the pool, make sure they do not touch any electrical toys or appliances. Electricity travels at lightning speed through water. Touching an appliance while you are still in the water or wet can lead to electrocution.
Calm Before the Storm
If it looks like there is a storm brewing, get inside as soon as possible. Teach your little ones about the dangers of lightning. Mother Nature can strike at any time, so it’s better to be safe than sorry.
