Inspected the condenser and found heavy debris accumulation on the coil fins and overgrown vegetation around the unit, restricting airflow and heat rejection, which can contribute to reduced cooling capacity. Evaluated system operation and documented findings, with recommendations for condenser coil cleaning, clearing the surrounding area, and further diagnostics of refrigerant charge and component performance.

Performed an on-site assessment of two existing 40-gallon gas-fired water heaters for replacement with a heat pump water heater system sized to support a high-volume soaking tub. Inspected the exterior natural gas meter assembly and the water heater tank tops, documenting a galvanized flue with an angled elbow, tarnished copper flex connectors and NIBCO brass shutoff valves with mineral deposits and discoloration at the joints, and accumulated dirt, debris, and rust scrap on the tank. Evaluated the installation space and existing gas, water, and venting connections to determine scope for the conversion and applicable energy-efficiency rebate eligibility.
Performed routine heating maintenance on the furnace, inspecting the blower assembly and burner compartment. The blower wheel showed moderate dust and debris accumulation on the blades. The borescope inspection of the burner section found heavy corrosion and scaling on the burner tubes and heads, with rust and crusty deposits indicating deterioration that should be monitored and evaluated for further service or repair.

Great experience and outstanding service. Eric Kent was the technician who came out to do an inspection on my 23-year-old furnace and although the news wasn’t great, the overall experience was. Eric was respectful, knowledgeable, and friendly and explained everything in detail including pictures of the system and why it was having issues and provided me with a variety of options and answered all my questions.
