Responded to a no-hot-water complaint on a standard 6+ year-old tank-type water heater with a pilot that would not relight. Inspected the unit and surrounding gas, water, and venting connections in the attic installation, and tested system water pressure with a gauge, which read approximately 90–100 psi, indicating elevated static pressure that can stress the tank and fittings.
Removed the blower assembly from the air handler and disassembled it for a full cleaning. The galvanized squirrel-cage blower wheel and blower housing were cleaned thoroughly, and the wheel blades were inspected and found intact, with no rust, cracks, or damage. The blower assembly was then reinstalled, restoring proper airflow and system operation.
Performed annual furnace tune-up and system inspection. Inspection of the adjacent water heater revealed heavily corroded water supply fittings and unions with rust and mineral buildup indicating a long-term leak, along with a draft hood and vent connector that should be monitored. Inspection of the air handler cabinet revealed a heavy layer of frost/ice buildup across the evaporator coil, indicating restricted airflow or low refrigerant charge; further diagnosis and repair of the coil icing and replacement of the corroded water heater fittings are recommended.

He gave us time to decide our course of action and when we did, had a tech at our house ready to go in less than 1.5 hours without questions. Great, honest service!
Arrived on time and was quick to unload. Worked with speed and efficiency from the get-go. Moved both the old and new water heater up and down all flights of stairs without damage or issues. All pipe and fitting work looks efficient and clean. Our house looked as clean as it did when he left. Would recommend and use again!
