Responded to an emergency water leak in the master bathroom, with water dripping from the ceiling vent above the toilet and moisture staining and soft drywall visible above the shower. Inspected the affected ceiling and wall areas, confirming moisture damage consistent with water pooling behind the wall, and traced the leak to its source with access to the unit above. Performed repairs to the leaking supply or drain line to stop the active leak and restore the system to proper working order.
Responded to a no-heat complaint on a roughly 10-year-old basement furnace that was running continuously without producing heated air. Inspected the control board and found the status code display reading E3, and noted the thermostat was set to Fan On with the system in the Off mode. Performed diagnostic evaluation of the furnace control board and fault code to identify the cause of the heating failure, and reviewed thermostat settings and system operation as part of the troubleshooting and seasonal tune-up inspection.
Performed seasonal furnace and air conditioning maintenance inspection in response to a reported ozone odor when the AC cycles on. Inspected the system and documented electrical readings with a True RMS clamp meter, which showed a measured current draw of approximately 9.4 amps, and photographed white, chalky residue buildup on a cast metal housing near a circular port, likely mineral or corrosion deposits requiring further evaluation. Findings relating to the odor complaint were recorded for follow-up recommendations.

Light bulbs had to be replaced frequently throughout my home. The doorbell worked intermittently. LED lights flickered enough to annoy. Light switch connections in two areas didn't make sense. Fernando Candia spent much of his day troubleshooting, rewiring and replacing damaged items. He also installed a systemwide surge protector. Now I know when someone is at the door, my lights are steady, and I feel there is a safeguard against electrical mayhem.
