Responded to a no-heat emergency call on a 20+ year-old basement furnace and verified thermostat operation, noting the smart thermostat displayed a 78°F setpoint against a 64°F ambient reading with an active 1 hr 25 min runtime indicator. Performed an after-hours diagnostic evaluation of the heating system to determine the cause of the heat loss and assess the condition of the aging equipment.
Light bulbs had to be replaced frequently throughout my home. The doorbell worked intermittently. LED lights flickered enough to annoy. Light switch connections in two areas didn't make sense. Fernando Candia spent much of his day troubleshooting, rewiring and replacing damaged items. He also installed a systemwide surge protector. Now I know when someone is at the door, my lights are steady, and I feel there is a safeguard against electrical mayhem.
Performed a Green Shield electrical membership inspection, including a visual assessment of the exterior service equipment, utility meter enclosures, conduit runs, and wall-mounted electrical units. Documented the condition of the enclosures and inverter unit with photos, noting dust and sand accumulation inside an open, empty enclosure and minor surface wear on the metal housings. Reported doorbell-to-speaker connection concerns were reviewed as part of the visit.

We had Mike come over knowing that our furnace was 20+ years old and needing a new one. Mike was professional and explained everything perfectly. No pressure at all. We also elected to replace our AC unit knowing that it is just as old as our furnace. We received great discounts for 1 being a member as well as 2 husband is a veteran and 3 quick turn around on the job. Because we received financing decided to also do a water softener. Mike was great and got us every possible discount. Tomorrow is our install and we are excited knowing this was much needed and finally being able to get it done.
