Completed comprehensive Cool 10+ tune-up on Goodman HVAC system with outdoor condenser unit and basement furnace. Performed thorough inspection of electrical components, control board, capacitor, and all wiring connections in condenser unit; changed air filter; cleaned system components; and conducted in-depth examination of all critical elements to ensure proper operation. System tested and confirmed operational following intermittent fan issue that had self-resolved prior to service visit.
Responded to emergency no-cooling call on 28-year-old Bryant system where thermostat was set to 71°F but condenser failed to engage, leaving home at 77-81°F. Performed comprehensive diagnostic assessment revealing multiple critical failures including failed dual capacitor preventing compressor operation, evaporator coil 100% plugged with debris causing system freeze-up and water drainage onto heat exchanger, failed bearings in both condenser fan motor and blower motor, and significant heat stress with rust damage on heat exchanger.
