Bountiful’s biggest growth wave hit in the 1960s and 1970s, when over 21,000 residents moved to the area and homes climbed the Wasatch foothills in every direction. That means most of the city’s housing stock is now 50 to 60 years old, with furnaces, water heaters, and electrical panels approaching or past their expected lifespan. At 4,846 feet with cold winters that arrive early and linger late, your home’s systems can’t afford to fall behind.
SameDay provides HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services across Bountiful and the surrounding Davis County communities, all three trades under one roof. We’ve been serving Utah since 1957.
When HVAC or plumbing problems can’t wait, neither do we. We know HVAC, furnace, and plumbing issues don’t adhere to a schedule, which is why we offer emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All three trades are covered under one emergency line, so call now to get the SameDay solutions your home and family need.
In Bountiful’s 1960s and 1970s homes, electrical panels were sized for a different era. Modern household loads from home offices, EV chargers, and updated appliances frequently exceed original capacity. We modernize electrical systems to current code and handle the full EV charger installation process. We currently offer $500 off EV charger installation (excludes customer-provided equipment).
Davis County’s hard water accelerates mineral buildup in pipes and water heaters. In Bountiful’s older homes, aging plumbing infrastructure compounds the problem. Our licensed plumbers handle water softener installation, routine flushing, repiping, and full system replacements.
Bountiful summers bring heat and wildfire smoke that make indoor air quality a real concern. A properly maintained cooling system with clean filters keeps your home comfortable and your air clean from June through September.
At 4,846 feet with Wasatch foothills exposure, Bountiful’s heating season starts earlier and runs longer than lower-elevation communities. When your furnace fails during a cold snap, you need it fixed the same day. Our certified technicians handle everything from routine tune-ups to full system replacements, with most installations completed in a single day.
Whether you’re dealing with furnace failures, burst pipes, sewer backups, power outages, or gas leak concerns, we dispatch 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays. All three trades are covered under one emergency line.
We love serving Bountiful. Don't just take our word for it; here is what your neighbors say about our reliable service.
Bountiful sits at 4,846 feet at the base of the Wasatch Range, with residential neighborhoods climbing the eastern mountain slopes and valley-floor properties stretching toward Woods Cross and West Bountiful. That hillside-to-valley terrain creates different demands across the city, with higher-elevation homes experiencing colder temperatures earlier in the season and slope-related drainage challenges that affect plumbing infrastructure.
The city’s 1960s and 1970s housing boom produced thousands of brick ramblers and split-level homes that define Bountiful’s character. Many of these properties are running original or near-original HVAC systems, aging plumbing, and electrical panels that weren’t designed for modern household loads. Newer hillside developments in neighborhoods like Stone Creek Estates and Canyon Crest bring modern systems that still require proper maintenance in Bountiful’s mountain-adjacent climate.
Hard water remains a persistent issue across Davis County, accelerating mineral buildup in pipes and water heaters throughout the city.
At nearly 5,000 feet, with a heating season that starts earlier than the valley floor, Bountiful homes put more hours on their systems than most. We service the brick ramblers and split-levels that define this city, and we do it without subcontracting or surprise charges.
Every technician is certified, licensed, insured, drug-free, and background-checked. That means you know who’s coming into your home, and that they’re qualified.

Most furnaces last 15 to 20 years with proper maintenance. With Bountiful’s housing boom in the 1960s and 1970s, many homes are running furnaces well past that window, some on their second or third replacement cycle. If your system requires frequent repairs, runs unevenly, or your utility bills keep climbing, replacement is likely more cost-effective than continued repairs.
Yes. Homes on Bountiful’s eastern slopes experience colder temperatures earlier in the season due to elevation and exposure. Hillside properties also face slope-related drainage challenges that can affect plumbing infrastructure. Our technicians understand the specific demands of both hillside and valley-floor Bountiful homes.
Our certified technicians service all major heating and cooling brands. We’re also a Lennox Official Dealer for ductless mini-split systems, one of the most efficient heating and cooling options for Bountiful’s elevation and climate.
Yes. We offer financing through Synchrony, with plans including options for qualifying buyers. We also facilitate utility rebates, including $350 from Dominion Energy for qualifying gas water heaters and up to $700 from Rocky Mountain Power for heat pump water heaters.
Whether you need a furnace replacement for an aging system, updated plumbing for a 1970s rambler, or a panel upgrade to support modern electrical demands, SameDay handles all three trades with the same team, the same standards, and the same commitment to getting it done right.

Colton was awesome
Returned to address callback on 15-year-old single-zone air conditioning system that stopped cooling within 12 hours of initial service visit. Upon arrival, confirmed outdoor unit was not operating and system was blowing warm air only. Performed electrical diagnostics using digital clamp meter on outdoor unit components, measuring voltage at 117.5V and checking amperage draws on compressor circuit. Inspected refrigerant line connections, capacitor, and control wiring at condensing unit. Completed troubleshooting and restored system to proper operation before departing site.
Removed and drained defective 2022 water heater and transported unit to supplier for manufacturer warranty processing. Installed new Rheem Professional 40-gallon water heater with new thermal expansion tank and completed all necessary repairs to plumbing connections affected by the previous tank rupture. Registered new water heater with manufacturer and installed ResUp automatic feeder system for existing water softener to maintain optimal system performance.
Responded to report of water leaking from bottom of 4-year-old residential tanked water heater in basement. Upon inspection, identified severe corrosion and rust at base of unit where tank meets floor, indicating internal tank failure. Documented condition with photographs showing corroded components and water damage at floor level.
