Responded to no hot water complaint on a 6+ year old tank-style water heater located in basement. Upon arrival, found unit was off with pilot light extinguished. Performed diagnostic inspection to determine cause of pilot outage. Successfully relit pilot light and verified proper ignition sequence and burner operation. Confirmed unit was still under manufacturer warranty coverage. Coordinated with manufacturer regarding warranty status and potential parts replacement if needed for underlying cause of pilot failure.
