Responded to frozen evaporator and condenser coils on a 3-year-old residential AC system. Performed comprehensive diagnostic inspection including air filter evaluation, camera inspection of heat exchangers and coils, and refrigerant pressure testing. Identified low refrigerant charge as primary cause and replaced faulty TXV (thermostatic expansion valve) to restore proper system operation and prevent future freezing issues.
Responded to report of toilet making noises during flushing in hallway bathroom. Removed tank lid and inspected internal flush mechanism components including flush valve, fill valve, and float assembly. Verified water pressure at residential plumbing system using pressure gauge. Identified worn or malfunctioning flush valve assembly causing noise issue during flush cycle. Replaced defective flush valve components and adjusted float mechanism to proper water level. Tested toilet operation through multiple flush cycles to confirm noise elimination and proper refill function.
Performed safety and operations tune-up on 3-year-old HVAC system to investigate recurring musty odor occurring when air conditioning operates during summer months. Conducted 21-point inspection of furnace and AC components, including thorough examination of evaporator coil using inspection camera to check for biological growth, debris accumulation, and condensation issues that could produce odors. Inspected blower motor assembly, gas valve, electrical connections, and condensate drainage system for proper operation and potential sources of smell. Documented internal cabinet condition and evaporator coil fins with photographic evidence. System operational at time of service with no immediate safety concerns identified.
