Completed installation of 50-gallon residential water heater in accordance with all applicable code requirements. Removed and disposed of existing unit, then installed new water heater with proper venting system, thermal expansion tank, and seismic restraint straps. Installed new water supply lines with shut-off valve, made all necessary connections, and performed system startup and testing to verify proper operation.
Responded to report of slow leak on water main line running from street to basement causing flooding. Performed site inspection and pressure testing of the mainline system using calibrated gauge at exterior hose bib connection to assess system integrity and identify source of underground leak. Documented conditions of landscaped areas above suspected leak location and provided estimate for mainline repair or replacement.
Responded to service call for 7-year-old tanked water heater with burner failure resulting in no hot water. Inspected gas-fired water heater unit in basement, diagnosed burner issue, and restored hot water functionality. Documented existing plumbing configuration including water softener system, copper supply lines, pressure relief valve, gas line connections, and PVC drainage system.
