Performed Cool 10+ preventive maintenance on 10-year-old downstairs AC unit with history of refrigerant line leaks and recent complete system failure with ice formation on lines. After allowing unit to thaw overnight per pre-service instructions, inspected evaporator coil, blower assembly, and refrigerant lines; confirmed deteriorated line insulation and signs of previous leak repairs on copper piping. Completed full system inspection, cleaned blower wheel, checked refrigerant charge and pressures, verified airflow, tested all electrical components and controls, and documented condition of degraded insulation requiring future attention.
Responded to no cooling complaint on 5-9 year old split system with outdoor condensing unit located in backyard and furnace in basement. Performed diagnostic testing on outdoor unit using digital multimeter to check electrical components including capacitor and associated wiring connections.
