The Temperature
You now know that you can run the air conditioner with a newborn in the house, but what temperature should the thermostat be set to? You can set this range to be anywhere between 72 and 78 degrees Fahrenheit. Obviously, if it is extremely hot and sunny out, you should keep it towards 72 or 73 degrees. Avoid Direct Exposure
Cooling the room is no problem at all, but try to keep your baby away from the air ducts and vents. You should also be dressing the newborn appropriately. If you feel like the room may be too cool, try raising the thermostat a degree or two, or keep a light blanket handy to cover the baby.
